Shrimp update?

Anyone? Anyone? Beuler? Anyone?

Sitting in the woods this morning wondering if I should be chasing shrimp or sheepies? It is beautiful out here but nothing but hogs and squlz moving and I wasn't after those today. Looking for one of these guys...

We caught plenty for bait on Mandarin Point Sunday last in no time. A couple of days before we caught them in Drs. Lake.......easier on Mandarin Point.

Plenty of fish in the river.........though......the front will change things a little.

As for the deer. Ours here ( Putnam Co. ) have passed peak on the rut and most of the good ones that we are getting on camera have gone back to being nocturnal. Not that there are not plenty of opportunities but rather that the crazed running about has subsided.

It was so hot last week that we got "Bullwinkle" on camera during the day a couple of times........

Thanks Ben. I was hunting guana. I always feel like the rut is later out there. I saw some rubs but no scrapes in the usual spots. Broke down and shot a pork this morning.  Saw plenty of does but nothing with horns..

Guana is a little like Cumberland Island in that it can have a fair bit of rut in the January timeframe when things are going off in the panhandle.

Did the right thing with the hog........best eating out there!
