The DC Universe is celebrating Oct. 11's National Coming Out Day in the most super way possible.

On Monday, the comic-book publisher announced that Jon Kent, Superman of Earth and son of Clark Kent and Louis Lane, will be coming out as bisexual in the newest issue of Superman: Son of Kal-El, the fifth in the series, to be released on Nov. 9.

Doesn't bother me personally, but seems like some people try too hard to appease others.

Market research demands it ... sell the public what it wants.

Seems like gay characters are being massively overrepresented in comic books. The writers are forcing it and it shows.

If the comic industry wants me back, they're going to have to try harder.

Next superhero = Soyboy!   Fighting fascists everywhere.  Armed with avocado toast which gives him superpowers.  He wore a mask, before fascists made them cool.   He wears a backpack with various projectiles and rides a skateboard everywhere.  The skateboard is also used as a weapon at times.   His home base doubles as his parents basement.   His identity is secure as most of his coworkers look similar at his place of employment: Starbucks.
He was broken out of prison numerous times thanks to soros-lawyers, and a go-fund me campaign setup by world leaders.

I stopped reading comics almost 35 years ago, so I don't care.

    Superman has always been gay.

C'mon just look how he dresses.

    Tights and a cape.

If I was a betting man, I'd have thought Batman was the gay one. He sure was close to Robin.

It may be because people are tired of getting this shoved in their face every single minute of every single day.

    Just sayin

One has to purchase the comic.  Don't complain about buying something you don't like.
don't like it.  don't buy it.

Maybe parents should be more involved in their children's activities.

The problem is those who are fine with how others live their life don't need convincing.  Those who are not fine with how others live their life will not be convinced.

If we were all honest: there is hypocrisy in many of our opinions of things.

Guns, masks, shots, wedding cakes, etc…. Each “side” tells the other to mind their own business..

Back to entertainment in general:  it is interesting that “Hollywood “ appears to put out much more “gay/other” content than represents our nation as a whole.
My thoughts on this: is that the creators in the entertainment field likely have a much larger % of gay/other than the general population of our country.

Basically, the content creators are producing entertainment based on their own life examples rather than the general population.

So, I don’t think “they” are so much forcing things down our throats…

obviously, it would be easy to just not consume what we don’t like.  That’s the easy answer to me.  Now, if we can just get everyone on board, life would be easier.  (Looking at those who want to ban or mandate their views on others)

Robin is actually officially gay or bisexual now.

Don't watch American Horror Stories on FX.  Right now they have 2 gay couples one male & one female & all 4 are pregnant with alien babies.  Amelia Earhart comes back to Earth as a 20 something y.o. should of been around 60 in the 50's.
