It's about to fire off! Scallop season is about wrapped up so fishing will be our only focus once again. We don't do a ton of grouper trips though the summer but the few times we went out for them it has been good. Mainly bottom fishing with a bit of trolling when the grass isn't bad has got it done. Water temps in the low to mid 80's and primarily fishing 12-20'. Got a few in 7-8' the other day so look for it to get GOOD over the next month!
I know it's pathetic, but my goal this year, is to get ONE keeper in the box. I've trolled for 3 seasons now and only caught shorts. This year I want to actually bring one home.
I am glad to only be a bird hunter with bird dogs...being a shooter or dog handler or whatever other niche exists to separate appears to generate far too much about which to worry.
