shell mound 9/11 report

Solunar tables said today wouldn't be a good day for fishing.... but a bad day fishing beats a good day at work.....

So hit Shell Mound pier today and got mostly "eating size" (should one be so inclined... I'm not. But you do you....) catfish.   Did get a 8" or so trout, and what may have been a snook fry in my cast net (had the underslung long jaw and black line, but was 1 inch long....) both released of course. 

Plenty of bait and lots of activity (bait being smashed/spooked) throughout the incoming tide.  Did see two redfish pulled in (one barely legal, the other barely not legal), and a small (large bluegill size) sheepshead

Yup.  Pic looks like it is at a higher tide stage.  There is a boat ramp off to the right.  Water gets skinny - pay attention to tide charts and the time....
