Mechanic recommendation for pre purchase inspection?

I'm driving up from Tampa next week to look at buying a used boat. I want a mechanic to look over the motor before I buy, but I don't have any personal experience with mechanics in your area. Before I just randomly choose one from a google search I figured I would ask here to see if anyone could recommend a mechanic they trust.  Thanks!

What manufacturer of outboard and where in town are you looking at it?

Mike at morning star marina is one of the best yamaha outboard mechanics. But he is normally booked up. His number is 904-838-3743 to see if he can fit you in. Sometimes he is easier to reach by text.

I'm not sure what part of town yet. It's a 2015 Yamaha 115hp. Now I have to work over the weekend and the guy is showing the boat to someone else. If he buys it I'm out. If he doesn't then I'll probably take a vacation day the following week and make the drive. I'll reach out to Mike when I find out whether the boat was sold or not.
