First Peacock Bass

Being my boat has a broke **** dog engine with a 100-day lead time, I've been fishing the community pond. A few bass on topwaters and jerkbaits. With the recent rains, pond has come up a foot plus. Was throwing a Rebel 4-inch jointed black back silver jerk bait. Had a good hit. Felt like a 4-pound bass and finally got it to shore and it was a 12-inch peacock. My first. Unhooked it and let it swim again. Had to post something as my new outboard is still 100 days out.
