Fly Fishing through Sargassum

ColmColm Posts: 77 Deckhand
I'm hoping to head to the Jupiter / Stuart area in August to fly fish the beaches.
Is the shoreline still likely to be full of sargassum at that stage or will it have started to dissipate?
If I don't go August my next option is early October but are there decent numbers of snook still on the beaches at that point?

Depends on the storms. If there have not been many you should be good. Not sure if the turtles will still be hatching, but last time I fished during that there were snook, jacks and tarpon and jacks all over in the early am.

The grass up there will really depend on the wind. If its southeast, east leading up to and during the weed will probably be bad. Even in October it could be with those winds. There should still be good fish on the beach around then, especially if the mullet are around.
