Well been a while since the last post. Been fishing hard on the fresh waters and salt waters and having a blast. On today trip had some  friends and their boys  from my home town. They were not really looking for red snapper but were more into grouper for dinner. Iced the boat down got crew loaded and cleared dock about 6:30am. Made about a hour run before the first drop. Bounced around  picking up fish along the way. Back at dock by 2:30pm. Another great day on the gulf with friends. Catch em up.

Well yesterday had a group of friends in from Texas. They were willing to fish any day that we had a good window of weather. Well seas looked great yesterday and told them to meet at boat at 6:00am. Well they were running behind so left dock at about 7:00am. Next they inform they had early dinner plans with their wife’s. So my game plan is catch ‘em quick and get ‘em back on the hill. Well plan worked and I was back at the hill and they had dinner with the wife’s. So haapy ending to the story.

Solid trip as usual!  Don't you hate to have to throw those big triggers back?  One of my favorite eating fish

Yesterday took my neighbor from West Virginia and two of his buddies fishing. The heat and humidity was hard on them. But they ending up with a little box of fish. They cleaned a couple b-liners and did the hook & cook at one of the local restaurants. Finished cleaning rest of fish today. Said restaurant did awesome job on cooking their fish. Another great day on the gulf.

The 2021 red snapper season has come to a closure. We had another great run after  red snapper this year. We harvested some nice fish and made lots of memories with family and friends. Now time to change gears and go after some groupers and AJ’s.

Well yesterday’s trip went to changing gears behind the wheel for the trip. Fish away from red snappers and those dang hungry sharks. Had four fishermen on board for the  trip.  Caught a mixed box of fish less the red snappers.

My trip yesterday was one of the favorite days of fishing for me. Had my Son-in-law and his family for a day on the gulf.  Well seas or storms didn’t cooperate we still had a blast. We ended up filling the box with some grouper, triggerfish and B-liners.

This is what day was like ugly on gulf but we made it happen

We saw the next public artificial reef being carried off ready for deployment in the PC waters. A cable reel from the port.
