Went with some friends chasing birds Saturday in the Gulfstream. Had decent results, including this 1st cycle Arctic Tern which is the first I see in this plumage. This one hatched last summer. All the others I've seen have been adults. This species breeds in the Arctic and winters in the Antarctic. I best chance of seeing them is spring as they migrate north. We also saw Audubon's Shearwater, Bridled Tern, Sooty Tern, Brown Booby, Northern Gannet, and three species of Storm-Petrels.
Here is an adult specimen for comparison.
