New app just announced to help you obtain both a cruising permit and fishing permit online before you arrive in the Bahamas. BUT you still must check in with customs. However, having the permits in hand a head of time should speed the entry process. Other requirements  that are important as well: you must take the printed cruising permit, your travel visas and hard copies of either your vaccine card or pcr test to customs and they will stamp it to make it legal.
