Migratory Tarpon

Do we get a migratory tarpon run off the beaches this time of year like the gulf coast does?  Grew up living for the spring and summer tarpon run.  Would love to do that around here in the Boca Raton area.  I’ve seen fish of different sizes around dock lights when snook fishing and seen them bust here and there at night around the bridges.

I’m looking for those big rolling schools just off the beach that you can throw crabs and pilchards to early in the morning.

Fastest way to catch a tarpon off the beach in boca/delray/boynton is to drive an hour north to Hutchinson Island.

Well not literally standing on the beach.  I mean fishing from a boat like during the mullet run.  But sight casting a big rolling schools migrating north.  Do we get that here?

Yes, in the Ft. Pierce / Jensen Beach / Stuart area the glass minnow schools should soon be working their way south, when you see what appears to be an oil slick near the beach, those are glass minnow schools and the Tarpon will be following.  Throw to the outside of the school and you should do well.
