Englewood Manasota Key Area in June

Going to be in the Manasota Key area in mid June for about 5 days and would love to catch some snook or even a tarpon while there. I'm the only one who will be fishing, wife is content to hunt seashells...lol. Anyway, would like any recommendations on guides or if someone happens to be in the area and is going. Thanks

Dave Pomerleau, the Mad Snooker, is a great bet. Awesome reputation and he know those fish inside and out. Mostly in the Sarasota/Venice area but I think he does charters as far south as Boca.

I went offshore with them, but they do inshore too. 
Or call Stump Pass Marina and ask for captains to contact as well.  Good luck.

He has a reputation alright, but it isn’t awesome. Not saying he can’t fish. He is certainly a legend in his own mind though. Kalein is way cooler and will put you on the fish.

thanks for the recommendations. Will contact the favorable ones shortly and see if I can get a solo trip.

We thought he was a weird dude. All we did was throw shrimp at the lights. Never went further than a mile from the boat ramp. When we were asking about how to catch the bigger snook he wouldn't say much and said we would have to take more charters with him to find out. All we were doing is asking. He also tried selling us on some **** health and digestive drinks and kept complaining about his wife or ex-wife.

Wack, I've not fished with Dave yet but he's been forthcoming with info to myself and a buddy and I've only heard good things. Can't discount other people's experiences though.

Have talked to mad snooker. He primarily does snook night trips which I’m not that keen on. Anybody know anything about Matt glass with green water charters?

You may try Captain Lou with Fast Cast fishing charters.  My brothers and I have been out with him 4 times this year.  Every trip was good
