Crushed the shrimp dipping at night!!!

Went out the other night and crushed the shrimp in Oak Hill!  We were dipping at night and got some real big boys too!  I finally got some decent footage of it using my phone of all things lol.  The bright green lights in the pitch dark was tough to get.  Check it out!

Missed

The shrimp often flow by 1 at a time.  Cast netting would wear you out.

Yes Missed is correct, but these shrimp are different than white shrimp.  White shrimp are on the bottom in the mud and these shrimp (brown/pink) run with the tide.  Its 2 different methods.  I cast net white shrimp in the daytime in Daytona area in the summer too.  Hope that made sense.

Also with the deployment of your lights if you throw a cast net the net we get on your lights pretty quick.I got close to 50 pounds of course not all of them were that big.I was there on the previous Friday and Saturday night when you were on the third. Thanks for the report

I posted a better video of the shrimp running this past weekend.  Them lights are tough to get good video of the sheimp but I did on this one!  Also did a catch clean and cook.  lol

I’m coming in again with a buddy of mine that’s a good shrimp or for the holiday weekend. We will try to compose some sort of video. We have no go pro but see what we can do. Three nights will not leave without a full pull each night

So how did you do?  They have been pouring so I am sure you guys crushed it!

Well I ended up not going. My buddy that was coming got sick and couldn’t justify the $500 for three nights of staying up there. Still ended up costing me $270 but I’m able to use half of that in a future rental. Anyways I didn’t go but I did talk to some people up there and they said the shrimp run is continuing like I thought but they are a little bit small. FYI

Yeah just seen that the other night.  Its about 75% small-med and 25% large -jumbos.  Not worth it to me. But they are good eating
