Relocated radio and antenna to electronics box antenna to t top ...how can i do an inshore / lake radio check ?.....   thanks in advance.

    Do you have a be buddy with a vhf on his boat that lives within 15 miles or so? Ask him to go out side and turn it on. Have him call you on your phone when he gets it on. Do the check, and if he hears you, have him respond over the radio.

    Just call, on channel 09, for a radio check.

    You don't have to be on the water for that, they have a pretty good range, hail on 09 or 10, there is also an automatic reply on 24 i think.
