Dry Storage

Hi All: I have my boat at Pete’s Pier for a while and today I received a notice that the rates are increasing to $15.50/foot, which is almost $2 a foot more. Previously, I was at Riverhaven and thinking of returning but not sure how it is now, or how Homosassa Springs Marina or Twin Rivers compares. Any info would be appreciated especially that I’m feeling good and will be going out often. Thanks.

    That's about 100 bucks a launch if going 4 times a month.
Well , indoor storage also included .

At Pete's the reasoning is that they're fixing everything and basically want everyone to pay for the improvements.

Riverhaven and Homosassa Springs are also going up $2 per ft.

Both Marinas in Homosassa are full, no spaces.

Boycott. :) I'm too cheap to pay for the convenience. However dragging from Ocala, ramps & back wearing on my old **** and impacts my fishing time.

Where I live, basically no boats allowed if seen from the street. My property, I’m not able to hide a boat and also, I have no trailer. Truthfully, I would be on the TV with my trailering.

Yes, I've checked Hudson and even New Port Richey, they are all filled.

I also keep my boat at Pete's Pier. I have heard that they are increasing the rates and that they are going to put in floating docks. I have not seen any sign of this happening. I did see workers putting in new pilings or adding concrete filled pvc pipes around old pilings.

I have not received any communications as to the rate increases.

I received a letter from Pete's stating the rate increase will be on the June invoice. Total 25% rate increase, which Pete's isn't giving anything to its residents. Still close at 5pm, gas is at 3.99/gal, no flushing of the engine when you return, nothing.

I wonder if it makes a difference that I am in a wet slip? I will let you know if I get a letter.

Rate increases are just a supply and demand issue.  more people want them, price goes up.

Rate increases are one thing, jacking the price up min 20% is another. Anyway, Looks like I'll be moving my boat to Twin Rivers at least the rates aren't too high yet.
