Offshore Reports?

Anyone getting out lately? I have family coming down end of next week. Would like to find some snapper/grouper for them. Just wondering how far we need to go out. Thanks!

Late response, but with the winds so heavy the last few weeks I doubt too many people have been able to get out. Reports from my local paper have said that the headboats are having good luck in 80 ft and deeper.

Got out yesterday. Left the dock at 2:30 am ran west of AMI to about 200 feet of water. Put the trolling lines out as sun was coming up, and 15 min later the line starts to scream. Big blackfin on the boat first thing in the morning. Switched gears to bottom fishing and limited out on grouper quickl. Giant red snappers released all day too Also released a massive gag grouper. Very sore today.
