Got out yesterday and finally boated a nice red, 24", in the oyster bars of Choko Bay, early incoming tide. That was it for reds, so fished our way to the outside on points, nothing doing for trout. My wife picked up a nice pompano on a mangrove shoreline, a surprise to me. I've only seen pomps in the surf, but then I'm not an old timer in the Choko area. Finished the day on an outside trench on the outgoing, caught a bunch of spanish macks, sand perch, a trout, another pomp, etc. etc. Water temps were upper 70's by afternoon.
