Going out this Saturday Feb 27th.

Haven't been out in months and taking a life long friend that loves to fish but rarely gets a chance. Will be fishing from Waccasassa down to North of Yankee Town. Any tips on where the fish may be , around the islands or maybe in the creeks ? For bait I will have shrimp and Ive got some frozen blue crabs. Also an assortment of Gulp baits. Rigs are bottom knocker rig and popping corks. Hope to bring back a good report ! Thank guys !

good luck Quad.....shrimp and gulp sound good......I never had any luck with frozen crabs.Always used fresh dead crab for sheeps,drum and reds.Catch em up!!!

Thank brother ! The crabs worked good the last time I used them. I go to the barge canal at the end with the wife and we catch some and take them home , bag-em and toss them in the freezer for use later. Just aint sure with the way the weather has been where to start looking for the fish. Guess I`ll try both till I find-em !

Thanks 4WARD. Yea I see that its around 8 am. Im thinking run down to the porpoise point area and fish around the islands and as the tide comes in try the outside points and venture into some of the creeks back North. Its gonna help I have a jet drive.

things are warming up pretty quick- i'd almost bet the trout are out.

If you can post a report it will be helpful.Good -bad or whatever.Always add water temp if the water is clean,
dirty or stained. Any info would be a great help  this early in the season General area that you fish is a bonus!

Sheepshead should be spawning actively on this moon.  They feed on the outgoing tide if at all.  The warming water should counteract any week after the full moon effects on inshore fishing.  Offshore the bit will be shorter, usually near the tide turn when the current slows down. 

But you know, I could be wrong.
