Driving back through 105 yesterday I watched a ray come completely out of the water. I approached the area and a few minutes later a giant one swam about 15ft under my boat. He had several cobia, remora, and blue runners with him. I pitched my lure and managed to get their attention but a blue runner grabbed the lure and they swam off. Within a 10min time span two other rays came out of the water in the distance. I searched for 30min but never did see them again.
A large school of Bunker was found offshore Port Canaveral, sharks had pushed them up to the surface in a large ball. mixed in were dozens of sharks and Remoras with well over 50 cobia. Several cobia had been caught with a few keepers. Some fish were in the 50-60 lb range but they could not get the bait to them before the Remoras and smaller cobia grabbed it.-depth unknown.
3 weeks ago we were out and had 2 cobia follow a big bull shark up ..not ready for them they appeared to be borderline legal ..about15 miles northeast of the port
