SAR in Mason Creek?

I saw a USCG plane flying around Mason Creek area yesterday afternoon. This morning I was at the boat ramp and was told of fire trucks and ambulances there last night. 

Anybody heard anything about this?  There was nothing in the Chronicle this morning.

Lost boater. Sailboat  became disabled. He had no idea where he was at. Searched for hours by his corrdinates. Wasnt even close. Fire rescue patched his cell to CG and they pinged it. Located him way off of where he thought he was at. and finally a boater came by and transported him to riverhaven.

Until they don't.  It'll be a happy day when the communications companies finally get us set up with satellite cell phone and internet connectivity.  Then we truly will have a "World Wide Web."

I think they have the technology to do it now, but are making too much money with the current b.s. setup to want to change.  Lotsa money invested in cell towers, too.
