Oak hill shrimping

Last year was a bit of a slow year for shrimping. Did not have the greatest so Luna and tide line up. Anybody been shrimping and the Titusville Oak Hill area in the last couple of days or a week after the full moon. If I don’t get up to Carter’s Motel pretty soon and go shrimping one night I’m going to go crazy. Any information please help thanks

It has been slow so far, mixed size but mostly on the smaller side.

Went again Tuesday night. Very slow, even the two commercial guys just south of Riverbreeze left at mid-tide.

Thank you so much. I just got engaged to a girl and she’s never been shrimping. I’ve been shrimping the riverbreeze area for about five years. I know she will enjoy anchoring up and listening to some music and dipping shrimp until the buckets full. Of course last year wasn’t the greatest year but the previous two or three were great. I just want to get up there and get out of Pompano for a few days. Any reports out there boys let me know thanks

I guess there’s no more shrimping it in the Edgewater to Titusville area. Too bad I have $2000 worth of equipment and nowhere to dip a shrimp

Another thread stated that they were running at Miami for several nights just recently. That's much closer to you. Of course, with a new girlfriend you might still want to come up to Carter's and rent the Bunga Bunga Bungalow!

Talked to a local commercial shrimper today and he said that the jumbos were being caught by the railroad bridge at Titusville, same thing a lagoon fishing guide told me last week. Good thing about that is you don't have to coordinate to the tide like at Edgewater. You just go when it is dark.

OK now we’re talking. Thanks for the information. And you’re right I just need a good wind to get them blowing through the railroad bridge. Been there done that. Thank you very much for the report

Need the wind to change then they will pour.  Had some decent catches last week, but not the full run yet. should be soon!

Keep them coming. I have four gator lights and some big itchy shrimp nets waiting for shrimp.👍👍
