Fish kills?

I know it hasn't been quite as cold as a few winters ago when there were floating snook everywhere, but it has been quite chilly, and sustained cold with very few warm days in between this year.

Has anyone seen any dead fish or other cold damage over on the coast? I haven't been able to get out in a while, just wondering.

no and my creek is the epicenter of cold snook kills for Citrus county.

scooped and raked up close to 1k lbs in 2010 just off my property line, other side of the creek was just as bad..

We need several days in the 30’s-40’s with cloud cover and nights in the teens to really kick a kill off. We haven’t had enough real cold days.

We scooped them out of the Alafia River back in 92 or maybe 93 when it was cold for days.  They were alive but not able to swim.  Loaded a 14 foot jon boat til there was only an inch of freeboard left.  We fileted for hours, but the freezer looked good...  Hope they make it through what is forecast in about 9 days...  Calling for snow in north Florida and the coldest days so far this winter.

Looks like the bitter arctic blast originally predicted here is instead going to hammer Texas. Predicted HIGHS barely above freezing in Houston. If that. 

Better them than us, I hate that crap. Especially all the dead stuff.
