Move back to fl from PA

Moved back to Fl from Pa last month.   Did a lot of salt water out of Pensacola and AL (12 years)   Kind of old but still active.   Looking for someone that has a boat and goes out and would mind soneone to share expenses, work, catch fish and socialize.   Retire Navy/submariner-  good sense of humor      ed

Hey Ed welcome back and thanks for your service in the Navy!  You may want to look into joining the Jacksonville Offshore Fishing Club (JOSFC).  They are located in Mayport (by the base) and have many members with boats and monthly meetings  https://jaxfish.com/

There are also many local guides in the river/nearshore who offer reasonable charters who can teach you the ropes of our area.  Good luck and hope this helps.

Thanks for the response     I will look into the JOSFC.   Really would like to do some more tuna fishing.  Miss the taste and the action     Thks again  ed

Good advice.  I went to my first JOSFC meeting last night - they meet the 1st and 3rd thursday of each month, host alot of serious/fun tournaments and provide a wealth of knowledge but keep it informal.  Meetings are outside right now so be prepared and are held at their clubhouse at the Mayport boat ramp next to Morningstar marina..  The speaker last night has some good info on sheeps.
