Help me find my new boat

Hello, need some help finding my new used boat. Looking for a 33' to 36' twin outboard express.

Definitely want to keep it twins and not triple or quads. Needs to be trailerable. I would like the center Helm position with a half tower with full controls.

I like the 36' Grady but think it is out of reach price wise. Budget is 150k. I can find 33' Grady's but am concerned with the forward berth size. I believe the length is under 6' for the bed. Can't have my feet hanging off the end of the bed.

The center helm bridge position eliminates a lot of brands.

I'm my opinion, a 33' Grady Express is not a trailer-able boat.  The boat can be "transported" but I wouldn't want to try to haul it around town every weekend.

Yeah, I should of said transportable. It won't be often. She'll sit at our marina except for summer trips to the Bahamas. We'll need to move her to Stuart or Lauderdale depending on Walker's or Chub. Boat will live in the Northern Gulf.

You  might need a DOT permit to trailer a boat that large due to it's width to be legal.

That Hydrasport is nice but it does not have the center Helm position. I want to stay with Yamaha Motors as well.

 As far as transporting the boat, it will only be a couple of times a year so I will hire a transporter to move it.

center helm is going to be difficult to find.  Some older pursuit models had it.  and contender made a walk around that had it.

Probably will need new motors but it kind of fits what you are looking for.

Love Pursuit.   I looked really hard at the 34 Express with twin diesels but don't want the maintenance and like the xtra bed/storage under the helm that the outboard boats provide.

The layout of the bridge on the 34' Pursuit sold me on the center helm placement. I crawled through 2 of them last month. Really liked the layout. Not ready for twin diesels yet.

keep in mind yammy 350's until 1016/17 ? had serious issues with flywheel and exhaust corrosion.
use that as a bargaining point on that one and offer $140K...all they can say is no, but ya never know...

 Thank you for the heads up on the issues with the 350. I've read plenty of stories.

I'm thinking I'm going to go down to the 31' to 33' range.  I'm seeing better boats at better prices. The search continues but I don't mind because it's fun.  I need to set up a spreadsheet and compare all these different boats I'm looking at.  Gets confusing.

The flywheel issue is still there, even with brand new ones. Yamaha has not done anything in the couple “upgrades” to fix it.

Seems crazy that they would just let that go when Suzuki has a perfectly good 350 on the market and the verados are such strong motors as well.   Losing market share IMO

350 Yamahas are also known to be gas guzzlers. Verados are much better choice for many reasons!!!

I tried finding a used 150-200 verado from 2007-now and honestly couldn't find one on the market

well, their answer is to stop making them!!!, pretty bad when ya can't fix a problem in over 15 years !!!
instead they're gonna detune the 425 to 375...then they'll have a 1000 lb...375...LOL
mecs 350 weighs under 700, and the 450R weighs just over 700 lbs.

Never considered Merc because always owned Yamaha. Heard the 300's are solid. 

Wife sent me this and asked if i could put a tower on it.  I would probably lose the arch and put a T-top top station combo hardtop on it.

 I see a few of the 323's have AC in the cabin too. We don't spend much time in the cabin when were on the boat. AC and a smart tv and this may work. Easier to drag around on a trailer too.

Folks are still buying them. The flywheel issue aside, they have a tremendous amount of torque, and are great power on large heavy boats. You just have to deal with changing flywheels occasionally. Personally, no way I would buy them, but the fan boys keep right on hanging them.
