Lee and I teamed up again to take advantage of the great weather and extended snapper season. We made the long run out to 75' depths too bag some ARS but none were to be found. Plan B: move a little shallower and get some grouper. We found gags and red grouper in 50' and 45' that were hitting our baits like freight trains on every drop for about an hour. We got rocked up and broken off a few times but managed 3 gags from 25" to 28" and 2 reds at 22" and a couple of taco grunts for the cooler. All were caught on threadfins or frozen pins and spot tails.
Seas were 1 to 2 foot, temp 72, vis 30+. 1 to 2 knot current until the end of the day.
