Another top notch trip with Capt. Marrio. We had adverse weather conditions, 20 mph+ winds out of the NE coupled with minus low tide in the morning, cold weather in the 50's, and high pressure with bluebird skies. However, the Capt. worked hard and we still came up with a limit of Trout and Reds. This was probably the most long casting I have done in one day. The highlights of the day were the three nice Permit he put me on. That was extra special since these were my first Permit! I caught them on three separate drifts so it were a nice surprise to get three! I also caught a respectable snook at 26.5". There was a mix of sharks, Spanish Mackerel, and lady fish to help keep us busy as well. Capt. Marrio is relentless. He does not give up until he feels he has lived up to or exceeded the clients expectations. I also have to say that the stay at The Plantation was great as well. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. All in all, another awesome birthday trip!!! Here are some highlight pictures...
Great captain! Marrio goes way back with Florida sportsman forums and contributes alot to the fishing community. Nice report!
Thanks for the comment Wishin! I see you are from Dunnellon. Nice little town. We ate lunch at Swampy's while we were there. Good food and beautiful location!!!
