Almost zero current today. Had 0.5 knots of current from the reef all the way out to 850ft. The Goldens didn’t want to cooperate so decide to hit a snowy spot on way home. 2 drops and we had our limit of grouper.
Good going, guys! My buddy out of Boynton caught a couple of small snowies and a surprise 10 lb. red snapper at one of the wrecks in state waters. south tide

Yea it seems like more and more Red Snapper are moving into our local waters.
Big Dog, your catch was almost identical to ours on Friday even down to a big Runner but only one small Snowy. No Golden bite for us either.
Very nice....I couldnt find the Goldens either. Ive only been doing this deep dropping a couple years now and Goldens seemed to close in either June or July. This year it looks like they won't close. Have they ever been open this long before?
They (Goldens) used to be open all year round back in the old days but very few people were even dropping then as we used wireline on 12/0s. Spectra or GPS wasn't around. Those items changed the game for deep dropping.
