Red snapper reports?

Not one report from last weekend, especially Sunday? I wasn't able to travel over to CK last weekend due to family happenings and I was crying the whole weekend after seeing the winds calming Saturday afternoon through Sunday. My dad was over there and said he could barely find room to park his golf cart due to all the boat trailers. Let's here them fellas.

Okay since you asked nicely, I'll get these arthritic fingers typing. My hands are swollen from the fishing line cuts and all the fish cleaning this week. So feel bad for me right...LOL. Anyways, four of us went out of CK on Sunday the 25th. There were a bunch of other boaters that were also ready to get on the Snapper bite. We headed out to a 2-3 foot sea that was blowing west so that helped. We heard from others that 80 feet was the magic number for ARS and last year we got them about the same time there. Once we got there we dropped the Rhodan Trolling motor and drifted until we got a hit. We were using Frozen Thread, Sardines and live pin fish. It didn't matter what dropped down the ARS bite was crazy. We managed to limit out on those with the biggest being around 26". Threw back 20 or so smaller ones. Then came the Red Grouper we managed to box 2 legal ones but caught another 10 or so. Then we got lucky and hit the Gags but we only managed 1 legal but again pulled up another 10 that were 22-23 inches. I also managed to catch my personal best mangrove snapper out there which was 19". Headed back around 2:30 wind was blowing sideways and white capping but blowing south so not in our face. I also posted a picture of what my buddy did out of Steinhatchee. He went the same day with friends. I'm planning on heading out again this Sunday if the weather permits. We left them biting so hopefully they are still hungry.
