Birthday @ The Pass

Launched Fri for a birthday fishing trip with the girlfriend. Water was 78f and clear. Out to the beach and hammered the jacks. No snook/trout. Out to a corner near Blind Pass, the GF catches a 24" redfish on a Spro bucktail. I caught more jacks. Into the Morgan River for an hour. Nope! Back inside to a little island and the GF gets 4 trout, 1 @ 16", the remainders were 14. A few jacks and a couple mackerel. Did see a nice school of mullet hugging the mangrove shoreline. They went around and then came back. Water was black with the fish. Not a horrid day but was hoping for more "glamour" fish even if they had to be released.
Until next time.....be safe and enjoy the 10K area.

PS: Hoping the County quickly repairs the docks at the Pass. When leaving, some guys were posting signs "Repairs underway due to Hurricane Sally". It makes it difficult to dock with one operational platform........
