Clamming/Scallops??

I am in the process of packing up to move to Punta Gorda full time, my question is, does it make any sense to bring down clam rakes?? We use them in the Mid Atlantic to rake through the sand and find clams. Bring it, or leave it???  (I will bring my sand flea rakes).

Haven't found any good clam beds here.

You can find clams on sand bars at low tide.  They're not little necks, though.

Forgot to mention that you'll have to go north of Cedar key for scallops when they're in season.
