Health related question

My question is and an example would be snook or possibly brackish snapper. If your a local to Black Point Marina there is a spillway to the harbor. Would you eat snook or the snapper off the canal lane leading to the harbor there? I know there are plenty of red porgy in the harbor. The canal going southeast is clean and healthy from when I last fished. Health wise do you think from the water pump and canal system that water is to pollinated with the haunt of the runoff? Reply back. Never thought of taking a nitrate system or what not to scientifically test. I know the couple of docks from what I remember of the algae. I know it creates slime. That is what I am concerned about before taking fish. I know I have options on where but just a thought.
