Yes.  We'll need to run 45-50 miles out to get them.  ;)

Question is will the weather cooperate??  It would be nice to have at least one weekend with calm seas and 70-80deg weather.

I live for this opportunity out of Clearwater pass.  I have a spot that we throw back any ARS under 25".  Now I'm in Homosassa, the boat is in Riverview.  I'm in a transitional period having just finished moving here 2 days ago.  House is in chaos.  The boat is 75 miles away, and they do this to taunt me.  Bastards.  I need a place to keep my boat safely in Homosassa until I have my lift built, which is at least 4 months out even if I started construction today.  I need patience.  Next year will be great.  I pay $56 a month to keep it in Riverview.  Hard to find that here.

This is my daughter from last June.  2 minutes after dropping lines, 29" ARS.  71 miles out of Clearwater Pass, 155 ft.  Beautiful day

MY WORST FEAR......THAT WHEN I DIE MY WIFE WILL SELL ALL MY BOATS & FISHING GEAR FOR WHAT I TOLD HER I PAID FOR IT.......

I may not always agree with what you say,

That's where I'm at with it.

At least in my bay boat. I get beat up enough inshore!

I'll finally have my boat in Homosassa this weekend permanently.  I'm considering making a long run to try to find them, or any fish actually.  I've got nothing for spots here out of Homosassa, never fished it, but I'll just find more like I found them off Clearwater.  Just takes a little time and patience.  I'll also finish reading the pinned posts about offshore, and inshore fishing here.

Isn't that the best way to do it? The personal satisfaction that comes with knowing you and only you put yourself on your fish ;) Well done sir.

In the summer I get them about 40 miles west of Hernando Beach. Worth the run since u can keep AJsand Grouper too. Maybe they will be a little closer in this time of year.
