Cedar Key Airport area suggestions

I'll be staying on the water NE of the airport in a couple weekends. I dont want to have to make long paddles, but I read some good holes and points around the airport are good spots. Hoping to ambush some reds on the incoming. Would it be better to launch elsewhere? Artificial only, btw.
