We are tied in number, but you have two I havent caught on this list and I have two you havent caught.  Yours is Tiger Shark and Cubera Snapper, mine is Lemon Shark and Striped Bass...  I am surprised King Salmon didnt make the list.  I have caught those and Atlantic Salmon as well.  I didn't look up the species but if it is the gulf Squirrelfish we actually have 43 because I bet you have caught a squirrelfish before...

    48. I've made a few trips to Baja (Mexico) and San Diego (long range) so it helped me with some eliminating of the Pacific species.

King Salmon is Chinook. The australian squirrell fish is something different from what we call squirrell fish.

I did better than I thought I would.  22.  Fished out of Oahu once, and another time out of San Francisco.  That helped.

42 a lot of those were on the west coast and baja.  A lot of the ones I've not caught are on my bucket list and are local.

I hope you're going to live long enough, or be in good enough condition, to fill it out,  I'm not.  The four I want locally are a permit, black drum, tripletail and a king mackerel.  You and Capt Louie have helped me with a few of the ones I've got on the list.

44 for me, but  I've been fortunate enough to travel a bit for a few extras.

69 and counting.  Wasn't sure of a couple of them........

Areas I spent extensive time at were Miami ( where I was raised) and adjacent coast, the Fl. Keys, California  (both South and North),  Magdalena Bay Mexico,  Sea of Cortez, Costa Rica, (both Pacific and Gulf) and The Big Island of Hawaii.  Also spent a good amount of time in Canada of which there is another long list of species not on the list.

Quick aside.........Caught two African Pompano on the same day in two distinctly different areas.  One in 75' W of Homosassa and one on 30' on C. R public reef. This happened Sept. 2nd on the full moon.  Fished the day in deep water then came in for the mangrove bite at night.  What r the chances.......Sorry Butch for tagging into your thread.

Only 18, but I'm a Best Coast-er.  Hooked a Barracuda on vacation in FL in '04 but lost it.  Few Snappers and Hogfish that don't count.

Chinook Salmon are called "Kings" in WA and "Springs" in British Columbia.  Tyee is a rarely heard term in B.C. and, I think, Alaska.  Young Chinook are "Blackmouth" in WA and eagerly sought after in winter and early spring.  Coho are "Silvers" in WA and Coho in B.C.

ALV, glad you did, that's an impressive list. Florida rules for number of game species!

Didn’t do total count but I’ve got all top 15. Having mated on a private sport fish with extensive travel schedule in both Atlantic and pacific helped. Also done a few surf trips with fishing involved in Indonesia and surrounding areas too.
