Active Captain App

Is there any value in using the ActiveCaptain app? Just got a new boat with twin Garmin 8616 units. Wondering whether it’s worth downloading and using it for anything. Anybody using it? Worthwhile? For what purpose?

I use it all the time to mark possible spots and then load them to the plotter

Not to mention but it saved me when I had a insurance claim on my boat because I had the serial number of the unit registered

Lots of good reasons and really no bad reasons.  I like it for planning trips when I'm not on the boat.
