Decided it was time to see what was bitting. For us, not much. There was a lot of bait on the surface a few miles out so we used sabiki rigs to fill our tank  rather quickly. Headed straight out looking for weed lines. Never really found anything interesting. At around 600 we decided to U turn and fish the 80 foot bar and attempt to chum up a school of Mahi. Worked in the past. Mahi were a no show and the bite on the 80 was slow with a few porgy, grunts, etc.

Thanks for the post.  Unfortunately we all have those days sometimes.

Did pretty much the same yesterday, fished from 150-500’ with nothing, came back in the 85’ and had a couple Dolphin swim up, able to boat one and never got a hook in the 2nd.  Was happy to see bait around again, that has been tough this summer as well.
