We took the dorado in for regular service to make sure everything's tip-top before we get into the heat of the mullet run, so I was in the kayak today. Final total 5 redfish, a snook, handful of jacks & mangroves, and a little flounder and sheepshead. And more than my share of catfish
Low tide was around noon, so I got to fish plenty on both tides which was nice. Morning outgoing fished some ICW-adjacent shorelines, and found a couple redfish and some jacks at my first stop, then not much for a couple hours. Stopped on a beach around noon and netted a handful of finger mullet, and promptly caught a nice mangrove around 16" or so on one of them. On the incoming tide I went up a skinnier creek and found 3 more reds all in the about 20-23" range and a nice little snook around 20 inches as well. Most of the reds were on live shrimp, and the snook hit a finger mullet.
Double hookups from the kayak are always fun:

Many things to do.
Knots to be unraveled

That would be my guess.
