Need some help from my friends

We went fishing today just north of the Stuart Causeway behind the Florida oceanographic society by the western manatee sign. Our anchor got hung up on something in about 5 feet of water.  We tried to get the anchor unstuck by using the boat engine and manpower. We didn't want to rip the cleat off the boat and our hands were starting to blister. I called Tow Boat US = not covered. Called the Martin County sheriff's department = not on the water today. I tied an old bait bucket to the anchor line in hopes of retrieving it next Friday. If anyone is in the vicinity and could help me out in getting my anchor back I would appreciate the help. I figure I have a 10 to 20 percent chance of seeing it again.

5 feet of water in the summertime ??  Would it be practical to dive down and get it loose ??....or am I missing something ??

I have to agree with gogittum.....is it possible to dive down and get it free?

That's on option that I may have to explore.

Missed

I've pulled myself down the anchor line 20 feet in the Keys to get an anchor (no fins of such).  Got a fluke under something in the sand that wasn't moving.

Hop in!  Just make sure you can get back in your boat - young guys can climb up an outboard motor, us old fellas like ladders.

I needed extra manpower and a stronger boat.

Update, went back to the area and the bait bucket was gone. I tried to snag the anchor line but couldn't locate it on the botton. Maybe one day I may find it since I fish regularly in the area. If someone else got to it before I did enjoy the anchor.
