I'm looking at purchasing a used 25' bayboat that doesn't come with a trailer, which I would like. What brands would you suggest? As far as fitting the trailer to the boat, can that be done without the boat present? Thanks
2 years ago I bought a 22' boat that was 11 years old and had spent its entire life in a dry stack. I called Platinum Trailers in Ocala and gave them gave them the make, model, year, etc, and they had it made and ready to pick up in 10 days. When I loaded the boat it was a perfect fit......no adjustments needed.

I may not always agree with what you say,

If you are buying new get aluminum and have them use stainless u bolts and other fittings. May cost a little more but they should last a long time. I have an aluminum trailer with galvanized bolts that are needing replacement after 10 yrs even though it was washed down after each use. The aluminum part is perfect. BTW your trailer will need brakes ,so stainless is the way to go for sure.
