St Lucie Inlet

We went out on July 10. Just got the boat back from the shop so I didn't want to go to far.  We went to the inlet and caught Spanish mackerel, blue runners,, several Jack crevalles , and one catfish. We were using jigs, topwater lures, and some live finger mullet. We really wanted to catch a tarpon as they were all around the boat but would not hit what we were offering. We will try again this Friday and may head around the beach now that I have more confidence in the boat. Ps if you see us with rods bending and working birds and baitfish please don't run on top of us and scare everything we had to wait  30 min to get back into the action again you know who you are 18' Mako with a guy on the bow with a castnet.
