Ran out to 160 yesterday and did pretty well with the bottom dwellers. Current wasn't bad in the morning, picked up a little in the afternoon. Ran into 120 in the afternoon and picked up some nice b-liners. Rough on the way out 3-5 tight together but smoothed out nice on the way in. We trolled from 160 out a little past the ledge and back in for about 1-1.5 hrs with no takers. All in all I'd call it a good day.

Hey Cade had a great time working the deck for you yesterday. That ride out was
a little sporty but well worth it. Really nice to see the fish pushing back in to 120.
You know you had a good day when they run outta beer and everybody is to busy
to care. We will have to do a skeleton crew trip soon and work or 120 numbers soon.

looks like you did real good!  we only got one knock down and had a hard time finding the trigs out of St A in our normal spots... congrats on a tough day for sure!

Thanks bottom bumping. For the past couple months I haven't seen any triggers in the 120-130 areas I normally get them but they've been thick out in the 160 range. It was nice to see the bees in 120' again though. I'd bet the triggers are either right behind or working their way back currently. If I may ask where'd you get your knock down? We worked a little in 160 and that was the only area I saw flying fish all day, some scattered weed also.

@Family Tradition ,  we actually saw our first flyers in 90ft on Sunday... didn't stop till we got to 150 and had scattered weeds and plenty of flyers and temp was getting closer to 77.. put the hoos out and had a small black fin on in 5 min... put em back out and 10 min later had a gaffer jump 3-4 times before coming unbuttoned...  thought it was going to be a great morning but didn't happen... around about 8-10 others and we all worked the area hard for a bit.. disappointing but still a nice day and ride in was nice...   guess we gotta try new deeper spots for the trigs next time...  thanks for sharing!

We found a few nice Trigs mixed in with some SLOB ARS in 100' on Sunday.  They would only hit cut squid.  The ARS would only hit live Pogies.

That's nice to hear Lakota, I kinda thought they were starting to move back in. Thanks for the report. I don't really use anything but squid when I'm fishing for smaller fish and still get the occasional hungry 15-20 pound snapper jump on a chicken rig.

I haven’t got any triggers in the 90-100ft stuff yet this year but bliners are in.

    Nice mess of fish!!!

We went out to the ledge on Tuesday out of Vilano but started trolling in 150 and had a nice mahi on instantly. A few short strikes and another nice one got off so we pressed on to the ledge and it was dead out there. We tired to fish a spot I found in 200 but the current was ripping but when we did hit the spot we got a nice porgy, a huge AJ, and something else big that broke off. I regret leaving the biting fish in 150 but it was our first time going out that far and I had ledge fever. We went back to 150 with little time left and managed a small mahi and had another short strike to end the day.
