5/28 Beach Fishing

Went out to Vilano beach today just north of the inlet. Had fresh dead shrimp, a doz sand fleas and fish bites. Fished from 7:15 to 11:30. Caught 2 pomps (10 3/4”, 10 1/4”), 3 whiting and 4 or 5 catfish. Missed a big mystery fish. Conditions were pretty nice. Caught everything off of fish bites and shrimp. Fleas didn’t get touched. Didn’t get crowded till about 10:30, in which case we had an old man and his dog walk through our line and then told me I didn’t need to fish there as if he didn’t have 50 ft of beach behind me to walk around 😂

Mystery fish might have been one of these..all caught and released at vilano the last three evenings. Caught on mullet parts. Lots of big mullet in the surf.a
