This shark was caught in green cove springs area yesterday by a friend never seen one that far inland looks like a bull not sure

That far inland, most likely a bull. They tolerate lower salinity than other sharks.

Most definitely a bull. They can live in completely fresh water and I've heard of them as far up the river as the Orlando area.

How big was it? The pups have to be born in freshwater, as their kidneys haven’t developed enough to process full strength salt water. As they age, and can begin to osmoregulate, they to migrate out towards the ocean. The St Johns has relatively few bull sharks compared to other rivers in Florida, likely due to resident dolphins that stay in the river year round. Jimmy G over at UNF or Bryan Franks at JU would love to see this, as they are the local shark biologists.
