Looking to buy a Para-Tech sea anchor...

Hi.  I own a SeaVee 290 with a dry weight of approx. 4800.  Couple thar with a pair of 300 Varados, and i would think the boat weight would be around 6000#s.  Would a Para-Tech 9’ be appropriate for use as a drift sock?  The boat is right at 30’ with motors. My desire is to slow my drift when going over hard bottom out in the Gulf.   Thanks for your input!

I personally wouldn't be fishing with a drift sock deployed.  All sorts of bad things can happen with a size fish on the line.  I don't know what you will be fishing for, but any of the fast fish out there can get you tangled up pretty good.
