With all the craziness going on right now there is talk of some of the local bait shops closing. So if that is the case here a video to show you how to catch your own mud minnows for bait..

Thanks for that. I fish the Tampa bay flats with both arti's and bait. Mud minnows are my go to, even at 1.00 each for the larges. They are a hardy bait and everything that swims eats them.

I love mud minnows as well. They are my go to when I want to catch flounder, reds and gator trout. You really pay a $1.00 each? Up here on the ga/fl line we pay between $3.50 to $5.00 dollars a dozen

You’d be shocked what a box of frozen Ly’s go for south of Gainesville

I bought 2 dozen shrimp when I was in Sanibel Island for $13.50 I needed them but I thought that was crazy. Where I live we buy them buy by the quart which is about 4 to 5 dozen for around $18-20 dollars. Maybe bait is harder to get the more you go south who knows.
