lucky enough to win an accident settlement warly last year to put me on the map and I'm where I'm at today.
I was on your side until you posted this. Why should an accident settlement financially propel you to another level? Maybe there are losses you suffered that more than make up for the financial gain; if so, I apologize.
From hell's heart I stab at thee; for hate's sake I spit my last breath at thee. Ye damned bobcat!

Well, not totally it was only $30,000.. BUT, you know, it did pay for some of my down payment for my own truck (2008 F450) and buy things to grow and prospect financially within my career. Yes, the settlement helped with medical bills and all and I would have used it all plus some if not having medical insurance through the business. I have 3 screws in my knee and pins in my ankle. I'm not talking about some huge astronomical settlement, like I said because I had coverage for my health (the most important) I was able to purchase a few things to help me grow in my industry. I am far from the Jupiter Isle rich-pr*ck kid that expected everything. I had nothing growing up, I chose to start bagging groceries at 13 at Albertsons, not because I had to, but because I knew what a dollar is and I like earning my keep for as long as I can remember. Maybe I worded the settlement statement wrong, but it wasn't just that which made me who and what I am today. That all comes from hard work and determination, not taking no for an answer or believing I could be held back by my surroundings.

I've been with my company for going on 12 years and tell people all the time that I LOVE my job. I cover all of FL and GA, travel on my own schedule, see my boss once or twice a year who loves what I'm doing. I make a great living and spend my days calling on customers who alot of them are truly friends. My company is privately held, owner doesn't owe a dime to anyone so I never have to worry about the check clearing. I have great products in a great business. I love selling what I do and can't imagine doing anything else. I am truly blessed and do not take it for granted.
I talk to people like you every day, no one likes a young dude out doing what I do and having what I have with his ducks in a row. It's aight, I don't stress. Haters gon' hate
I don't hate,Started my business in 1982 Have gone out at all hours day and night every Holiday for my clients to find lost items, Gold, glasses, watches, even found some drunks false teeth on New Years Eve night. My clients are the 1% When I see there kids all F---up one even gets 250,000 a quarter,Has a 72 'Viking (His dads boat is 130')and has to borrow the money from his captain to pay me.......No offence

Well, I could say I wish I could do what you do, meaning just to be able to dive. I smoke and am out of shape, I am not getting under water. But, I have none of those, I'm not some spoiled sheethead like I'm sure you have to deal with. That said, I do have a similar clientele. Do you have roadside coverage? AAA, Allstate, Progressive, Gieco, Asurion, Coach-Net, etc. I service people that put me in the mud to change a tire, not because the $46 call is worth it, but because it gives the company a better reputation for national lists and the bs calls keep fuel in my truck to run my delinquent accounts. Especially now in the year, I have to deal with these **** frogs from Canada on my roadside calls, some due it on purpose, I've been video'd on cell phones while doing a simple jump start just for some amusement to these azzes.
I love my job...I no longer have to worry about hiring, firing, making payroll, keeping employees from stealing everything I owned, them doing the work they are supposed to do, and having health conditions due to the stress of it all being on my shoulders. I actually get vacations, bonuses, and can call in sick (fishing trip) on a whim. I make about 1/4 of what I did....but I get to see my kids in the morning, and when I get home they are still awake. I will take that every day over the money!
Some people are like a slinky, not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you push them down the stairs.
We service the yachtes,Have done some work for SeaTow,I have done some repo work for banks,Hooked up a couple of cars, golf carts, even an airboat off US 27 in the Glades when they sank, For tow companys. The worst for me is when its 40 degrees its blowing 25 outta the North I am dripping wet on the dock and some hot rich women comes out in her bathrobe and says (Your going to get in the water, Isint it cold)Had my picture taken a thousand times.Thats why I like the peace and quiet of the dive.Be safe out there.
Love my job, love the schedule/freedom, love the people I work with, love the paycheck, love sales... it's just all the other crap they have me do in between selling like ordering, implementing, playing QB for everything under the sun, and having to keep so many people on task --- that sometimes it makes me wish I had a cush job like the Tater and all I had to do was go visit clients
Love everything about my job except the travel. Used to be fun traveling, but it sucks being away from my girls now (4, 6 and 7 years old)... I'm on the road around 20 weeks a year... At least its usually just 3-4 day travel weeks (gotta look on the bright side I guess)...
I love my job. (No, my boss isn't on here reading this!) For those of you who don't know, I'm a GED instructor, and days like this make me love my job even more than normal. I just found out that one of my students who first started working on passing the GED test 8 years ago has passed! (It didn't really take her 8 years to do it; I'm sure there were many breaks here & there, but it did take her 9 retests in math to finally get the score she needed.) How many of you would have given up after try 2, 3, or 4??? What about after try 5, 6, 7, or even 8???
Before any of you go knocking the GED, know that the test is not as easy as you would think. Many of my students aren't lazy bums; in fact, most are very hard-working adults in their 30s, 40s, 50s (and beyond) who are working 2-3 low-paying jobs and trying to better themselves, their families, their skills, and their employment/education status.
This lady is going to FLIP when she hears the news!!!!!
One of my sons took the GED. On the 5 tests he scored two 800's a 780 and I don't remember the rest.
No, doing that all day could be painful. I am an embryologist. I do have some patients that have to "give till it hurts" because they don't have much.

I like my job. It was better before the economy took a hit. It will get better again, I hope. But if I won the lottery, I wouldn't be doing it. How many of you love your job so much you would do it even if won the lottery and didn't need to work?
My boss is a pr!ck and they expect to much from me. I have way too much responsibilities and when the economy suffers i am the first one to take a pay cut.
When i had a job, i loved it, loved the people i worked with, and loved my customers and they loved me ! What a life! Took me two years to adjust to retirement. Your job is one third of your life, and if your not happy with your job, start looking for another one, thats what i preached to my kids !! And i think they all listened, because they all have very good jobs and are happy and interested in them...........
Of course I love my job! January 17, 2012 will be my 25th anniv. as a National Park Service Ranger!

Love, no. Pays well and work from home and I don't HATE it.
Overworked, never caught up, boss is micro-manager who "checks in" on his staff regularly, sit on calls 4 hours a day and hear the same drivel on each and nothing gets accomplished, and the company is getting worse with more offshoring.
I don't even want to begin to list the minuses :-P
I absolutely love my job. I started off as an assistant professor of biology. I love to teach and do research (I work in freshwater ecosystems - exotic species ecology). In the past few years (after gaining tenure) I have moved into more of an administrative role. I'm now an Associate Dean of our College of Science and Engineering. I love the job- it is less teaching but more problem solving and helping both students and faculty be more successfull.
My hat is off to those of you in education - i know how hard it is. This country has a major culture problem when it comes to valuing education. Hats off to the OP for your work with the GED. Education is so critical to everyone at every levle. Job well done!
BTW - My wife is a physician, she loves her job as well.
