Venice Fl Beach King 3-18-2020

42 inch fork length. Slow trolled live blue runner. 20 ft depth of extremely clear water. No obvious bait pods or birds diving. The king was next to a school of 17-22 inch class Spanish mackerel with no visible surface activity. Boxed 14 nice Spanish in addition casting white Rapalas while on the troll .

Caught a couple more Kings Saturday. Shark ate one and left 28” of head and body. Second fish was 40 inches. Slow trolled live silver mullet for both. 26 ft of water. Kings were stacked up with 20” plus Spanish.
