Wife and i are thinking of moving from the keys to pine island. We are retired and love to fish. Down here fish mostly on the reef for snapper,grouper etc.  I was hoping to get some opinions on weather the north end or south end has better gulf access and fishing.

Pre the late summer 2018 red tide I don’t think it made much difference in terms of which end. Back then I had plenty have good days down south but these days it seems the north is the better end as it was less effected by the red tide.

North end is a shorter run to deeper water for offshore and better inshore fishing closeby typically. Also close to BGP for tarpon season.
