Well, I'm all set up with the new laptop. Hate it right now, but I am a creature of habit, so I don't do well with change right away. I also hate Microsoft and Adobe right now. >:):) Glad to see Flash popped in and is helping. The images are awesome. I was all excited to post my little Ruby, and got beat to the punch.  JWT, that is such a great find! I have never seen young Owls. Owlets? Baby owl? LOL... Gogittum, I don't know what you are complainin about. That first owl image is  nice. May be a little soft on the outside, but nice. MR, I  like the Pelican. Didn't think about the feather loss until you mentioned it. I like the fog. Ok. This is my little Ruby. She has been hangin out around the hibiscus for a while now. I thought she would have left to head north by now, but I am glad she is still here. Pretty cool.

Dang, with that crop you can barely see her. I re-cropped her, hope it helps. Stilllllll not used to the "new" format.

We kept hoping for Hummers here. Planted for them and hung feeders for several years relentlessly. One day, boom they showed up and have been constant during spring and summer. Have had as many as five battling over a feeder showing they are territorial. I love the pictures you folks are posting.

That is so cool. I am envious. We had some about three or four weeks ago. Glad you are enjoying the images. Feel free to contribute. 😎

Redsgurl I’m starting to educate myself on a sound starter camera. Just want to make a good informed deviation. I typically investigate to much and probably should just jump in. I do enjoy folks pics.

Nice flight shots, especially the hummers which are really tough!

Lots of good info here, thanks.I just started shooting BIF with both eyes open. One in the view finder and one looking for the target.Seems to have helped me a lot

i have never tried shooting with both eyes open......... it makes sense tho, especially with a BIF which can be very difficult to lock onto if the lens is zoomed out............ i will try this - thanks for the tip!!
