Hi: I came across this mapping forecast from NOAA, not sure if anyone knows about it. Looks interesting.

Yep cool site and appreciated. Now I just have to find time to use and go fishin.

That site has actually been around for a while. This is an upgraded version which is pretty good.
I use an app called Flowx. It has several models from which to choose. One is called HRRR. This nice thing about this model is that it is updated every hour. This app gives you the choice to place a marker where ever you want and the model will give you data for that point. In the screenshot below I have the marker at the end of the ship canal off if CR. As you can see this is for 8AM this morning. It shows wind direction, wave height, and wave direction. If you swipe your finger the forecast moves ahead.
The Flowx app does cost $20 a year but for a weather junkie like me it's a no brainier.
